InterAction for Microsoft Outlook and InterAction Mobility display Interactions and Upcoming Meetings by using configurable activity type groups. By selecting up to two activity groups, activities are filtered based on dates—past 60 days for Interactions and the next 60 days for Upcoming Meetings—with all users' settings managed through the InterAction Administrator interface.
These options apply to InterAction for Microsoft Outlook and InterAction Mobility.
The InterAction Pane in InterAction for Microsoft Outlook displays sections for Interactions and Upcoming Meetings. These sections display a set of InterAction activities for the selected contact. You can control the content displayed in these sections by selecting up to two activity type groups. The sections then display activities from those groups.
These settings are also used for the Interactions and Upcoming Meetings sections in InterAction Mobility; see the InterAction Mobility guide for details.
Out-of-the-box, this is set to just the Communication activity group. You can change this to a different group and optionally select a different group. The same activity type groups are used for both Interactions and Upcoming meetings; InterAction uses the activity dates to determine which activities are shown in each section:
- The Interactions section displays activities within the groups dated within the past 60 days.
- The Upcoming Meetings section displays syncing meetings and activities within the groups dated within the next 60 days.
For example, if you use the default Communications group, the sections display activities with the types:
- Fax
- Letter
- Meeting
- Phone Call
Note that the types in the Communications group may be different if your organization has customized the group, or if you upgraded from a much-earlier version of InterAction. Therefore, you should review the types in the group when deciding how you want to configure these options.
